After a lot of abuse, we have decided to add the following rules. Remember, this isn’t Craigslist. We’re strict because we care about quality. If your listing doesn’t meet these standards, it will be removed.
1. Only Australian Businesses
If your business isn’t based in Australia, stop right here. We verify locations, ABNs, and addresses. No loopholes, no overseas “virtual office” tricks. Australia means Australia.
2. No Shady Stuff
We don’t list businesses that deal in—or promote—the following. Ever:
- Adult content or toys, escort services, or pornography
- Gambling or sports betting of any kind
- Cryptocurrencies, crypto trading, or NFTs
- Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) schemes or pyramid-style operations
- “Make money fast” systems or affiliate spam
- Anything illegal, misleading, or under investigation
3. Real Businesses Only
You must have a legitimate, operational business. That means:
- A valid ABN
- A physical or serviceable Australian address
- A working phone number or email that responds
No shell companies, no coming-soon pages, no placeholders.
4. Your Own Listing—Not Someone Else’s
You can’t list a business that isn’t yours unless you’re officially managing it. No freelance SEOs flooding the directory with random client listings. We will nuke accounts that abuse this.
5. Keep It Clean
No swearing. No suggestive language. No political rants. Keep your listing professional, clear, and relevant.
6. No Fake Reviews or Ratings
Don’t try to game the system. If we catch you submitting fake reviews, manipulating ratings, or reviewing your own business under fake names. We’ll wipe your profile and blacklist your IP.
7. Respect the Format
Stick to the fields we provide. Don’t stuff your business name with keywords. Don’t paste essays into the “Description” box. We’re not Google, and keyword cramming won’t help your visibility here.
8. We Can Reject or Remove Anything
At any time, for any reason. This is our platform, and we curate it carefully. If your business doesn’t align with the vibe or violates the rules, we’ll take it down. Simple.
9. Visuals Matter—Use Them
Bare listings get ignored. Upload your logo at a minimum. Seriously—branding matters, both for your company and for the site’s aesthetics. Do you have photos of your storefront, team, products, or even the messy back office where the magic happens? Add them. The more real and relatable, the better. No stock photos, no AI headshots, no fake “office” snaps from Google Images.
